My name is Dafydd Sanders and I am a senior instructor at MedStrength. I was asked to come aboard the MedStrength team because of my experience and understanding of the MedX Equipment and my experience as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Martial Arts Instructor and Elite level Athlete. It is my privilege to be a part of this team and to work with one New Zealand’s leading Physiotherapists and in the short space of working alongside the team I have already learnt so much.
The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences working at MedStrength and to help people understand the vision and rationale behind this kind of strength training. It’s an exciting journey for me and one I want to share with the world. MedStrength is a new concept in New Zealand and people can learn from our experiences helping people with their lives.
I am balancing my role here as an Instructor at this facility with my goal to one day go to the Olympics as an Taekwondo Athlete. So my blog will also include stories about how I find balancing the two roles.
My goal is to be world leading in everything that I do. I have a belief that if you can dream something then that dream is my true potential and the only thing that prevents me from reaching my it is the time I need to mature and the belief in my ability to reach my dream.
I enjoy strength training and I enjoy teaching others. At the age of 16 I began teaching Martial arts and when I was 21 years old I was lucky enough to start my own Taekwondo Club. Over the last 10 years I’ve had the opportunity to teach people about their bodies and about what they are capable of physically with the use of Martial Arts and strength training. It has been an absolute joy to be able to show people how to move beyond what they currently believe they are capable of. The reason why I love showing other people this is because for my own goals and for my own mission in life, I’ve had to have many people teach me how to do that for myself.
I’m hoping for people who read my blog, that they learn a bit about me personally and understand the kind of people who work for a company like MedStrength. My goals in my life reflect how I want to help others and I’m lucky to be part of a company that can help me express that.
